I’m Ian Clark. I live in Toronto, where I design highly responsive web apps.
I've been working with technology since I was 13, when I wrote my first program using Macromedia Flash. That early hands-on experience sparked a deep passion for programming.
I thrive on creating web apps with React and NextJS. I’m always experimenting with different back-end services-whether it's self-hosting with Docker, integrating Supabase, exploring cost-effective tools like Turso, or using Cloudflare to manage performance and security without breaking the bank. I love digging into modern frameworks and finding ways to make the user experience snappy, modern, and engaging.
After working as a business analyst, I wanted to challenge myself in new ways, so I moved to Peru. During that time, I completed my computer science degree, explored new technologies, and immersed myself in Ashtanga yoga and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, which helped sharpen my focus and discipline. It was there that I found a real flow in developing with React, NextJS, and TypeScript.
I’m excited to bring my technical expertise and problem-solving skills to a forward-thinking team, where I can help build user-focused solutions that truly make an impact.
